Myofascial release is frequently used in clinical applications by physical therapists and massage therapists alike. It aids in the structural realignment of the body’s connective tissue or fascia.
Fascia is a thin, connective web of tissue that surrounds and supports everything in the body from muscles, viscera, tendons, ligaments and nerves. When fascia is damaged through overuse, stress or injury, it hinders proper alignment and movement on a systemic level.
Myofascial unwinding stimulates mechanoreceptors in the tissue, signaling the parasympathetic nervous system to relax the body and let go of chronic tension and stress.
This technique is a powerful component of nervous system reset and truly restorative on a mind-body level.
Myofascial release is effective as a stand-alone treatment, but also a great complementary therapy to deep tissue work.

Perfect for athletes, those with back, hip or neck tightness/pain, and people who enjoy very firm pressure. In combination with neuromuscular therapy, this is hands-down the most effective modality for addressing deep muscle knots, pinched nerves and muscular imbalances.
During this full-body session, I use my feet and body weight to apply even, therapeutic strokes to large muscle groups.
This therapy is amazing for deep, structural realignment of soft tissues by releasing years of chronic pain patterns and tension within the body. I would highly recommend this modality to anyone: The pressure can be as light as a feather or as deep as you want in order to break up adhesion patterns. Giving a whole new, wonderful meaning to "being walked all over!"

Whether you need to unwind from a busy work week, or have general muscle tightness and fatigue, Swedish massage is a great option.
With warm jojoba oil, combined with hot towels and aromatherapy of your choice for complete mind-body relaxation and rejuvenation.

Also referred to as trigger point therapy or NMT, this bodywork is specifically targeted to relieve myofascial dysfunction and its associated “referral pain.” NMT is great for those with chronic aches and hypertonic areas of bound-up muscle and fascia due to injury, stress or overuse. During a NMT session, I manipulate very specific areas of tight muscle fibers (e.g., muscle knots in layman’s terms) to release and soften adhesions, bringing blood and oxygen to the area for proper healing. During active release, the client will perform certain range-of-motion (ROM) movements while I hold and stretch these trigger points, helping to facilitate the release of the muscle to its full range of motion without pain. These techniques intertwine to increase ease of movement in the joints and elasticity in the soft tissues while restoring proper function to the whole body.

I received my foundational massage training at Denver Integrative Massage School learning this amazing eastern bodywork style. You can think of thai massage as “lazy man’s yoga.” During a Thai massage session, you will wear comfy yoga attire or gym clothes and receive an immersive mind-body experience to include active and passive stretching, myofascial release, deep tissue compressions, and Luk Pra Kob (heated herbal Thai compresses) curated with specific healing herbs and oils to relax deeply-seated muscle tension, soreness and fatigue.

Great for: chronic pain, muscle tightness, reducing inflammation and enhancing blood circulation.
This therapy is wonderful for athletes with sore, fatigued muscles or trigger points, or for those who sit at computers all day developing tight upper traps, pectorals and cervical muscles.
Cupping therapy is an ancient Chinese modality that uses glass or silicone cups strategically placed on different parts of the body to release stagnation, fascia, and muscular tension in that area. I use both static and dynamic cupping techniques (the latter will not leave the dark bruises behind). Dynamic is great for increasing circulation, relieving tight fascial restrictions, and lymph-flow. Static cupping is the type that will leave the bruises; this technique is beneficial for trigger point relief, muscle strains and areas of chronic pain and tightness.
